Sports Day

What a lovely day! Well done to everybody who participated.

Fire Service Visit

Today Class 3 enjoyed a visit by the local fire service who talked to the children about the dangers of playing with matches and what to do in the event of a fire.  The children listened really well and asked and answered questions very sensibly. Well done boys and girls!

To The Rescue!

This week the children have been busy completing their Land Ahoy Innovation Project. They had to design and make a lifeboat to rescue Captain Buttons' precious cargo of 20 gold chocolate coins! The boats had to be waterproof, they had to float and be strong enough and big enough to carry all the coins which weighed 110 g. The children worked in small groups to complete the task and were all successful and proud of the results.

Visits to Bryn Pica and The National Waterfront Museum

On Monday our Y2 children went to visit Bryn Pica Recycling Centre. They found the trip really interesting and were all well behaved.

Today Class 2 and 3 went to the Waterfront Museum, Swansea. first they did some pirate activities and went on a trail around the Museum. After that we had lunch outside in the museum gardens to make the most of the sunny weather! Finally we met Barti Ddu a Welsh Pirate who told the children about life on board a pirate ship. The children were able to handle many pirate artefacts including a 'cat o' nine tails', a musket and a cutlass.
