Trip

Yesterday we went to Pontyclun Fire Station. The children were all really well behaved and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the fire engine and trying on the fire fighting kit. Best of all they really enjoyed using the hoses!

Feeding the birds

Class 3 made 4 different types of bird feeders this week. They melted fat and added seed to a coconut shell. They cut a bottle and filled it. They made seed pictures. Then they filled a pine cone with peanut butter and seeds. They then set up a bird hide. Now all we need are the birds so that they can watch them next week.

🎃Creative Class 3💥

Children made symmetrical bats and pumpkins. They experimented with different textured cardboard tubes to create colourful fireworks. In free choice they made 2D shape pictures.
PS if you would like to view previous blogs go to Class 2.

History Prize

Well done to Class 3 for winning a prize from the John Hopla History Society. The judges were very impressed with the local history work the children had done as part of their topic Community Explorers in the Autumn Term. Yesterday two members of the class attended the presentation at RCT's Civic Offices on behalf of everyone, to receive the award. Once again well done everybody.

Den Day

A great big thank you to all parents who helped make our 'Save The Children Den Day' such a success. Thank you for sending in money donations and resources needed to build the dens. The children had great fun building and decorating their dens. They worked really well in their teams and afterwards enjoyed a picnic including sandwiches they had made themselves! Together with Class 2 we made £84. Once again thanks very much.
