All About Animals

Class 3 have been finding out all about animals. Last week we designed zoo enclosures for animals from Hot and Cold countries.

We also had fun putting animal names into alphabetical order.

We have also been measuring the weather and even had fun trying to catch the snow!

Happy New Year!

The children have been really busy back in school this week. Our new topic is Mini-zoo and we have been talking about our own pets and other animals that live in the locality. The children have also been  talking about our new Vets role play area and have had lots of good ideas about what they want to include in it. 

What A Busy Week!

We have been very busy enjoying all the Christmas activities this week. First there was our Christmas party on Tuesday.

Then we went to see Aladdin on Thursday. The children really enjoyed the pantomime and their ice-creams too! 

Finally, in assembly today Y2 were presented with their Kerb Craft certificates and Goodie Bags. Well done to you all. 

Christmas Concert

Well done to all the boys and girls in Class 3 for their wonderful performance in our Christmas Concert yesterday. Also, thanks very much to all parents for providing their costumes. 

This week in Class 3

We have been really busy writing our Mungo and The Spiders from Space stories and acting them out. 

We have also been enjoying our new outdoors Construction Area. 

Shoo Raynor visit

Class 3 thoroughly enjoyed the visit by the well known author and illustrator Shoo Raynor this week. The children asked lots of interesting questions including why he was called Shoo!! 

Then Shoo read the children one of his books 'Super Dad'.

After that he showed the children how he does the illustrations.

Then he worked with the class and helped them to draw their own 'Super Dad'. The children loved doing their own drawings which were amazing.

We had a fantastic day and hope that Shoo can come back again soon!!

Visit by Story Teller

This week we had a visit from a Story Teller who told us the story of 'Supertato' the super hero potato who rescued the other vegetables from the Terrible 'Frozen Pea'. The children loved the story so much  we just had to get it for our class library!!
